How to Print Line Numbers in MS Word?

I know how to show line numbers in MS Word, but why won’t they print? What is the secret option, and where does it hide? Thanx!

Hm, I just added line numbers to a doc, hit Print, and they printed just fine. (Word 2000)

Perhaps your margins are set too wide, and the line numbers are outside the print area?

Here’s how I made them print:

File > Page Setup > Layout tab > Line Numbers button > Add Line Numbers checkbox.

Also check under Format > Paragraph > Line and Page Breaks to make sure that “Suppress Line Numbers” is unchecked.
