Okay, so I’ve been here for over three years, and I have not yet learned how to quote one thread into another. I can quote within a thread but I can’t figure out how to import a quote.
Can anyone help me with this?
There’s no automatic way to do it. You can do it manually, though.
For a simple quote, you just need to put
around any bit of text. Copy and paste what you want, and put it in between those tags. If you want to say who posted it and from what thread, you’ll have to add that in yourself.
If the two threads are already going, I just hit the quote button from the previous post in my thread, copy and past the text from the other thread in between the tags, then copy and paste the name of the quoted poster into the quote in place of the original name. Copying and pasting names cuts down on srewing up someone’s name.
