How to stop Microsoft Word from underlining xxx@xxx.xxxx phrases?

yaah well they can shove that ribbon system up their ass. I have tried to like it but continually find myself going through more steps then the old system. I liked having the least used tool bars float so they stayed there while I used them and then clicked away when I’m done. Now I constantly have to go back to them after each use because MS thinks I only plan on drawing one thing at a time or sort data once. One of many disappointments.

Even my browser still uses the old architecture that MS developed and was universally copied. Alt-F brings up File functions such as open save or print. Alt-E brings up Edit. If I had my way each and every MS person responsible for the ribbon would have his or her car rewired so every control button operates something different and they can shit themselves stupid trying to back out of the driveway.

And it’s not that they just changed the layout, I found errors in the macro engine for identical macros between old and new versions. That means the underlaying architecture was changed. Thanks. Every time somebody buys MS Office they should get a free t-shirt that says Professional MS Beta Tester on it. I’m surprised we don’t have to pay union dues.

serenity now… serenity now…

May I humbly suggest we collectively don’t want to take a 4 year old zombie thread asking where a particular toggle switch is in Word and convert it into a rant about UI design.
