The fact that people have been defending the officer in this particular instance does not mean that we are unaware of, or unconcerned by, the real instances of police criminality and brutality. Do you get it, numbskull? Just because we defend this cop, in this situation, does not mean that we defend all cops for anything they might choose to do.

For the benefit of brain-dead fuck-knuckles like you and gonzomax, here are links to six separate threads from the past couple of years where i have been heavily critical of police actions. There are probably other people in this thread who could come up with a similar list.

I have a lot of respect for good cops, and i think the job that police are asked to do is a difficult and dangerous one. My stepfather is a retired cop, and i respect him and his sense of duty a lot.

But the profession does attract more than its fair share of permanent juveniles, douchebags, and plain old bullies.
