Can’t help you on Radiohead, but the White Stripes music I have heard, limited to be sure, sounds just like Led Zeppelin to me (and it is pretty good.)
It starting passing me by in the late 90s/early oughts. About when I started saying “I can’t understand the words” and “Why are they screaming?” I feel so old fogey.
