You know, when it shifts to landscape view if you happen to lean one way or the other. Drives me nuts. Can I turn it off?
Which model Kindle? Mine (Kindle-3 aka “Kindle Keyboard”) doesn’t do that.

Okay, it’s a Kindle DX. With a keyboard. Software version 2.5.8.
Looks like the Kindle-DX is the only model with an accelerometer. This comment under “UPDATE” has an explanation of how to disable it. Or just google for “Kindle DX disable auto-rotate”.

The Fire does it, too. There’s an option under the settings (little gear icon in the top right corner) to lock the orientation.
