How well can you do on this 50 question Civil War quiz?

  1. But it actually isn’t a 50 question quiz. Agree with comments of others

Damn! 61

and it only took three times.
OK, I lied: My actual score was 47, which is OK since the Civil War isn’t my thing and I haven’t read anything about it in more than 35 years.

53 of 62. Two of my wrong answers involved Florida and another one a damn poet.

50/62. Crimeny, what an irritating quiz, though. Wait for the page to load; while it’s loading the buttons jump around so you can’t click on them until it’s fully loaded. Once it’s loaded, you have to scroll down to get to the buttons; once you push a button, instead of moving on to the next question automatically, you have to click AGAIN. Then do it all again for the next question. Sigh.

I got 48. Not bad for a Canadian. I think I read the Wikipedia article on Abraham Lincoln in the past year, though.

Only 39 for me.

There weren’t any questions at all about the Roundheads or Cavaliers

  1. Some of the date questions were not something one would be expected to remember. The “primary, but not only cause” of the war question could be answered either slavery or state’s rights depending on which side of the Mason-Dixon line you are on.

49 for me, and I can say that I did not guess in almost all of them. I still have to learn some more.

Add on to that list “questions so badly worded as to be impossible to answer correctly from the data provided,” and “questions whose answers aren’t facts, but opinions.”

  1. Same experience as most - a little guessing, a little “d’oh!” and a little WTF?

I’m okay with 44.

  1. Not bad, considering History was my second least favorite subject in high school (after nude swimming).

55, though I misread a couple.

Hmm… wrong civil war.

Got 47. Wish they put the test on one page.

  1. Respectable

32… And I grew up in the South! Man…shoulda paid more attention to history class…

  1. Not bad I guess considering I left the states before completing 4th grade, 50 years ago. Guessed all the dates, and got them all wrong. Not American enough to give my son American citizenship, which irritates me.

I’ll admit I had no idea, but saw West Point and US Military academy as the other two options and thought, “HA! They are the same thing and therefore must be incorrect.” So, I picked VMI.
