How well do you know the SDMB? I've made a quiz to find out.
Call ABTMB X. When you go down, make it a negative. When you go up, make it a positive. Obviously, add them all together.

For instance, “go down 5 spaces” would be -5. “Go up 8 spaces” would be +8 or -5+8 which is +3. In the end, you will have how many you need to go down total. X-8 was the final equation I believe.
100… woo, I rock!

I think Larry Borgia got the pattern, but I’m not sure…

I totally guessed the name pattern thingy, but got it right anyway. My basic assumption was, “when in doubt, go with Guin.”

I have to say when I was racking my brain on the pattern question, I was a little freaked-out by how many facts I know about the dopers on the list.

Perfect. Well I have been here 4 1/2 years.

Or maybe you need to make a master quest.

 1. I missed the question about the one-trick pony; I never saw the guy, despite doping nearly every day.

I’d take the quiz if it were located someplace that wasn’t designed to harvest my email address.

Otto, you don’t have to pony up a real e-mail address. I used the snotmail address that’s just a spamcatcher for authentication-requiring sites that I don’t trust. You don’t need to even check the e-mail to get your results.

My impression was that it was too easy. The only one I got wrong was the pattern one, because I was misled by the mispelling of elucidator’s name into picking the only name on the list that I didn’t recognize. Now that I know the correct answer, the pattern is obvious.

Oh, I got the last one “wrong” too, but only because I never descend to flattery, even if it’s expected.

If you do use a real address “to get your results,” for the love of god, don’t open that mail or click on anything in it. The page it links to looks extremely whiffy. Way too many ActiveX controls. (Maybe if I let them run, they’d just be annoying ads, but I don’t trust 'em. Shifty eyes.)

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

Nasty website! A gazzillion cookies, popups, popunders and big flashing animated adverts. Bad website!

I’d love to take the test, but my Firefox sensibly is having no truck with it, and I got fed up with fighting through the trash in IE to get to the actual test.

Well, it wouldn’t come up for me in IE or Firefox. So I gave up and figured that I’d just assume that I got them all correct. What do I win?

It wouldn’t come up for me, either. I kept getting a message that there was a script running that was making Macromedia Flash run slow, and that if it kept running my computer might stop responding. I got tired of clicking “no” when it asked if I wanted to disable the script.

Yeah, in IE, the flash plugin complained about an error in the script that could potentially lock up my computer. No quiz for me. :frowning:

The dang thing will not come up for me either. I say it’s because it already knows I know everything and doesn’t want me to show it up. :stuck_out_tongue:

Me too… boo hoo

After I took it, my dog died, I lost my job, my GF left me, my truck exploded, and I broke out in blisters.

I am not posting from home today. I used Netscape, and it crashed. Then I used IE, and I got the same message slortar Fromage A Trois got. Idle Thoughts, any interest in posting the questions by themselves?

The quiz set of computer warning messages and also put up pop-ups on my supposedly pop-up-free Firefox browser. No, I’m not the 100 000th surfer to do any bloody thing. Piss off.

Okay, so I posted without seeing the other annoyed messages.

Apologies. Didn’t mean to pile on. Normally, posting without reading the thread is a bad thing. In the case of a quiz thread such as this, I thought not so much.

I get the same message as above. Plus, it wouldn’t load for me.

Is there any way to put the questions here, instead?

I to got the warning message today, though I didn’t when I took the test yesterday.
