How will coronavirus change society?

Not saying this is rational, but I expect a noticeable* uptick in RV sales. For those worried about sanitation and social distancing, bringing your own hotel room with you has a certain appeal.

I predict a resurgence of hoop skirts - on men AND women - to enforce social distancing!

Some people will die and we will miss them very much but other than that, changes will be small and hard to discern. Grocery delivery will become permanently more popular. It might affect Republicans’ confidence in Trump and so it could influence the election but that remains to be seen.

I posted before reading the thread. I agree that people will show greater support for sick leave and it might even become mandatory in the future. Jim Peebles has convinced me that Republicans are sufficiently invulnerably ignorant to allow their voting patterns to change so this will have no effect on the U.S. election but may temporarily increase the political divide in our country.
