How will Trump be memorialized for posterity?

Fortunately, a selfless, loyal citizen has done this work for us.

Best case scenario: He won’t be.

An appropriate Trump Memorial would be a gold-plated Dumpster with an eternal flame inside.

He’ll be on Mount Rushmore.

The backside, with all the shittiest presidents, between James Buchanan and Warren G. Harding.

No, I want a flame to be lit now to commemorate the Trump presidency. And then, on January 20, we put the flame out and never relight it.

Well I agree with you about the fact that “overturned the orthodoxy” will be an important part of his legacy.

However, I would not call an assessment that leaves out critical details neutral.
e.g. it’s not enough to say Trump speaks “crudely”; an adverb doesn’t tell us anything about the actual content. Historians have to mention Birtherism and much of the other racism and ignorance (I mean before he was even elected), to be anywhere approaching neutral.
I know some people won’t like that, but it’s all objective facts.

That is too a typo, I suspect. I’m guessing you mean January 20, 2121.

As is often the case, despair.com has already considered this question and nailed it.

Mistakes

I think a statue of him grabbing Lady Liberty by the pussy. Or maybe one of him prostrating before Putin.

Better yet, a statue of Putin grabbing him by his teeny-tiny genitals. Been true for the last four years.

Nixon was also, in some regards, a legitimately effective president with some real accomplishments. He created EPA. He normalized relations with China, putting pressure on the Soviets, and he had a coherent foreign policy. Nixon was a terrible economic president, and awful in terms of his abuses of power. But he at least tried to be president. I’m struggling to find something that Trump can claim as a real achievement. His response to the pandemic will be remembered for anyone 18 and older for decades to come.

Biden should start a tradition of having opposing walls of portraits in the Oval Office or another prominent room in the White House. One side with the official portraits of the presidents he wishes to emulate, and on the other side a “rogues gallery” of presidents whose pitfalls he wishes to avoid. That would tell us a lot about the current occupant.

Speaking of which, I wonder if anybody fished out Trump’s state of the union address speech out of the trash after Nancy Pelosi tore it up. That’s a document worth preserving.

Could we have him bronzed?

No.
Since he’s a wanna be dictator, I would go with tin.

Meh, I’m easy.

But let’s do it on 01/20/2021.

For posterity? I think he should be memorialized for posterior.

That’s redundant

I think he’d like to go with gold. He’s wealthy, kind of trashy, and that’s found in great quantities in his properties. However, gold is expensive, so if he’s not buying the statues himself I expect the statues to be small.

Are presidential libraries required to display truthful information?

Can we have him sealed in amber?

Have we yet developed the technology to freeze him in carbonite? What I’ve seen of it appeared to be very unpleasant.
