It is definitely Gypsy jazz, or you could say hot jazz if you want to avoid the ethnic connotation. (Wiki also suggests manouche jazz, but I’ve never encountered that term. Maybe more common in Europe?)
The popularizers—arguably creators—of it were guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli, most often working together.
