Recommend me some Swing Jazz

I’ve always enjoyed the Andrew Sisters kind of music and only just realized I have been living under a rock and found Christina Aguilera’s Candyman and have refallen in love with this kind of music.

I am very open to suggestions from old stuff to brand spanking new stuff.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Royal Crown Revue, Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers, Lily Wilde, Brian Setzer Orchestra.

“Let Me Off Uptown”, by Anita O’Day (singer with Gene Krupa’s band)
“What’Cha Know Joe”, by Jo Stafford (singer with Tommy Dorsey’s band)
“Gimme That Wine”, by Lambert, Hendricks & Ross (hell, anything by them)
“Goin’ to Chicago”, by Joe Williams

For instrumental Gypsy jazz, investigate Django Reinhardt & Stéphane Grappelli–& their followers.

They formed the Quintette du Hot Club de France in the 30’s & their music has influenced many. Django died in the 50’s but Stephane kept playing to the end of his very long life. Did some fine work with David Grisman.

These are wonderful, especially Django
