I mean that I’VE lost too much weight for those suits to work anymore.
The thrift shop is good for finding individual pieces. The man needs a wardrobe, and as Lasciel and others have said, he has to learn about what to look for before he can effectively shop a thrift shop.
Also, for a guy who doesn’t like clothes shopping, the trips to buy the essential wardrobe will be long and painful enough without dealing with thrift shops. Why torture the guy.
Once the wardrobe is established, then thrift shopping can be introduced if desired.
