How'd they get the rocks to the Step Pyramid of Djoser(sp?)?

I’ve searched both Google and Wikipedia, but I can’t find the answer. I’m pretty sure that the later Great Pyramids’ materials were brought by boat along the Nile, but I’m not so sure about the Step Pyramid’s, since it was built earlier.

The rocks in the Step pyramid were only a Hop, Skip and a Jump away. Not much trouble in Running a small operation to Walk those babies over.
