Here is a picture of the Nile pretty close to the Great Pyramid. It is possible that the Nile wandered around, but I haven’t found any evidence for this. But they are close to the Nile, and a canal from it to the site would be certainly possible.
It is hard to tell now since Cairo is so built up.
could they of done it when the nile flooded every year and just stopped when it dried up ?
