Since the ignore function has been activated on the board has there been a decrease in Pit threads against board members? Just a bit curious because I would think that the reason that the ignore function was instituted was an effort to decrease the tensions on the board. I’m sure that there isn’t a specific tally but I thought that maybe someone had noticed some trends in Pitting or something.
For the record I’ve never Pitted another board member (but I’m sure it’ll happen sooner or later) and I’ve never put someone on my ignore list (well, Neurotik was on it, but that was for two minutes to see what it did. Sorry, Neurotik, you were the first poster I saw when curiosity hit me about the ignore function, I really like your posts :)).
Unless someone did a survey of “pre-ignore button” Pit behaviour versus “post-ignore” – I can’t see there being anything like an objective answer to your question, Asylum.
I’m sure you’re right. But at the same time if we get a number of posters in here who say they’ve all noticed a decrease/increase/stayed-the-same in pittings then we might have something to work with. Sure, might be a waste of time, but I figured it’s a max of five minutes out of my life and those who read the thread, but the potential (and admittedly remote) payoff could be interesting.
