Niece just told me they’re still waitin’ to hear as well. Obviously she is at the hospital.
Thanks for all the prayers, good thoughts, appendage crossages (is too a word!) et al everyone.

I kind of blew up my aunt’s oven.
I walked over to her house every day after school to watch my cousins and I’d always start dinner for her too.
She had an old gas wall oven and I had to turn 3 knobs to turn it on. One day I did them in the wrong order and the oven filled up with gas and whoooomp the door came flying open.
Good thing nobody was standing in front of it. When I told my aunt she just laughed and said I wouldn’t make that mistake again. She was right.
sari  I wouldn’t have made that mistake again because I would’ve never even came within ten feet of that oven ever again.
It’s been frickin’ SNOWING for the last four hours! WTH!?!?!??!?
Very likely. I sometimes do wonder if I’m the only person who actually bothers putting clothes free of mud and holes on before going down there, forget actual smart clothes…
I have been ordered by the maternal unit to make more felted lizards 'n things, accordingly, the day has been spent making felt skinks and buying more wool. I’m pretty much going cross eyed, but it’s good practice. I’m pretty happy with the skinks, but not sure what else to make -the request was for models of animals that they have. Hmmmmm…
We get to vote for a police commissioner and a mayor sometime soon, but I can’t work up any enthusiasm for any of the candidates.
Anyway, I should get on with doing useful things. Hope your SIL is OK Swampy.
Home, after a stop enroute at Cracker Barrel for an early supper (with a lousy server.) It’s rainy and cold and ick out. I’m going to change into comfy grubbies, read the comics, then assume the knit position.
Is it Firday yet?
This headache I’ve had all day just will not go away. I haven’t had time to shower or nap. All I have eaten has been the potato salad I made after I s’plode the dish on the stove.
I think I did too much yesterday driving all over NEA and not getting home until 5.
Well, the nor’easter just took out my power.
booo - hopefully it won’t take as long to come back on
Well last time it was on by morning. I’ll take that again!
Does this storm have a name? Don’t know because the TV hasn’t been on much. Not ready yet to venture back into political bickering, which I detest, so off it’ll stay for awhile. Yes, that means more wood stove and Stranahans whiskey. Hey… I guess I just voted again. A win for the wood and whiskey party.
Winter Storm Andrea.
Well that’s weird. So for the fortnight, these two nor’easters, it’s Sandrea?
Well here’s hoping Soapy gets power back soonest
Today was blurf. Weather awesome as usual for this time of year though, so there’s that.
Mrs. Plant v.3.0 made the lemon chicken recipe at my suggestion.
Who posted it?
Blurf. And stuff.
Mooommmm, when & what town you coming to next wik?
Tao, kindly refrain from reading my lines on the cue card.
My kitchen screw-up tonight: At the suppermarket all of the Halloween stuff was on sale* so I made Monster Brownie (25¢ brownie mix in a <$5 Frankenstein face pan). Went to change the amount of time on the built in timer after entering the wrong number & somehow turned oven off, so brownies were NOT cooking for 20 mins.
LOL, Sparkles!
My son would love that, his favorite Halloween candy is candy corn.
I love candy corn! And I may be the only person who actually likes those little mallow pumpkins too, hehe.
Shopping tonight involved getting posole stuff…and Walmart was out of mexican oregano!:eek: Which sucks. Or would suck, if there weren’t a mexican foods store 3 blocks away.
