This week should be the last of the high 80s-low-90s weather. It’ll be 80s next week, and 60-70 after that, whoohoo! Which is good, 'cause that’ll be when we do a lot of the big moving, so, good timing there.
I’d give out cookies but I have none.
Mouse has figured out the time-change, and now decides that 5:00 is time for me to get up, urk.
Oooh, swampy, that’s a great lunch. It needs be have potato chips to be the PERFECT lunch though.
I’m zooming at irk. I was asked to present tomorrow morning to the Medical Executive Staff and of course I’m not prepared. So I’m makin’ copies and writing a presentation and now it’s almost lunch o’clock!
I was exchausted last night after being up early and being busy all day so I was struggling to keep my eyes open at 8.30 last night. mr ems was up at his usual 4.30 and got up to have coffee with him before he left for work around 5.30.
It is a be-a-yooot-iful day here in OKC. 65 and sunny. I have to head to Dallas this afternoon but first I need lunch. I don’t have leftover lasagne or pizza so Subway it will be!
There’s Monday scattered all over me, my desk, and coworkers. Network latencies, application outages, multiple machines to roll out, and not enough people to cover all the problems. It is indeed irksome.
The good (very, very, very good) news, though, is that my mom has decided she is moving back to Texas before the end of next year. She did not talk about getting Dad to agree but about getting him ready. This means she’ll be nearby again. It means she gets to retire. It means she can spend time with my dad. It means that I can spend time with her. It means I won’t have to take off a minimum of five days in order to spend any time with her. So, yes, I’m happy.
(But I’m sorry your registrar was a butthead, Scones. Stupid butthead.)
37F when I got up and about 40 now. It’s gray. Of course it’s gray. It is early November and that is what is written in the almanac for early Nov. in MN. “It shall be gray today.”
On the bright side of gray, that means it’s time for homemade potato chowder for lunch.
70’s, clear and warm here in the Bay Area. Left the house a bit early today so I could stop off at the library and check my email and facebook, and found that the library opens late on Monday. So, I stopped off at Starbucks and picked up coffee and a cookie and headed on in to work, and I’m here an hour and a half early with naught to do.
On my way out I had some butthead tailing me in the fast lane. I was only doing 70 so when I had a clear spot I moved over the the right to let him by, annd what does the butthead do? Comes over to the right right behind me still staying on my ass.
Maybe next time I should toss him a condom, 'cause if you’re gonna ride my ass you’re gonna wear protection.
Forgot to call the bank until it was too late, I deposited a few checks thru the ATM on Sat and I think I forgot to endorse them. I was hoping I can catch them before they reject them and go thru all the crap again.
Beautiful day out today even if it is a bit chilly. I may open my window just for a bit to get some fresh air in here.
I had a successful morning in silverware land. I came home with 35 pounds and one of these. I always wanted one.
I have pigtails in my hair today. I stopped at Trader Joe’s on my way back and one of the clerks came up to me and said, “I’m trying to stop myself from coming over and playing with your pigtails!”
I need prayers, good thoughts, crossed appropriate/inappropriate appendages and whatever else ya got for one of my sisters-in-law. She was rushed to The Medical Center in Columbus, GA (nearest big hospital from ye olde hometowne) for emergency surgery to remove a brain tumor. She had complained of dizziness and a MRI revealed the tumor.
Roo yay! It’ll be good to have your mom and yes, even your dad, closer.
StickyBuns I have no idea what that is but I can see how you’d want one. I don’t know what it does but it looks . Go get that prof!
