I walked into work today, was stared at and asked if it was windy outside. Ouch. Five minutes later on the phone to the hairdressers for emergency highlights and trim.
Take two bottles into the shower? Yeah, what’s it to you?

Oh wow. Me too. I normally recognize myself when I wake up in the morning, but today, it was like “Ew! Who the hell are you?”
As for my hair, well, it’s crappy today too. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it look okay bfore I leave for Chicago tomorrow. But I’d appreciate any good vibes y’all could send my way. Thanks. 
How’s my hair today? Wet. My hair takes forever to dry whether I let it air dry or try to use a blowdryer. It’ll be wet all day. This is why I’ve been taking showers at night instead of in the morning; then the hair is dry when I wake up, at least.
Still black today. Although it’s gettin’ a bit shaggy. I should probably have had a haircut last week.
My hair is the usual today: long, thick, frizzyish, dark. I have neither good nor bad hair days, because I really don’t get too creative. I keep my hair pulled back tightly, braided, one big braid, hanging down the middle of my back. When I take it out it’s almost waist-length, but it gets in my food and stuff, so I mostly keep it up. I tried short hair once because I thought it would be less trouble, but I wanted to maintain one of those really short pixie cuts, and you have to get them trimmed every two weeks so they look right. That was way too much trouble. Every once in awhile I go nuts and make two braids for that Overgrown Schoolgirl look!
Last year I got a really bad perm, the other day I went nuts and cut the last of the frizz off. So today, my hair is uneven but very soft and healthy looking. It’s also piled on my head and out of my way for the moment but later when it comes down I have no doubt that it will just lay there looking like I just got out of bed. My hair and I don’t get along, I want it to style, it wants to go back to bed.

Okay. I’ve been mad at my hair recently, for no good reason at all. It’s been trying, really it has. I’m just not creative enough for it. So yesterday and today have been bun days…bun days keep me from getting really irked and chopping it all off. So yes. It’s in a bun, prolly still damp on the inside. When it’s behaving itself, it’s usually at least somewhat down [down being a bit below my shoulders]. But not today. Throw me in with the librarian crowd. :^)
Getting longer and longer - I have to brush locks out of my eyes every few seconds, because I had the bright idea of turning on the fan in my room. I never knew eyelids could be so ticklish. It’s otherwise just dandy - very soft right now and very clean, but I’ll need to trim the back sometime soon before I look like I have a mullet - before long, my front and back regions of my hair will be of equal length and I won’t have to worry about that. I’m thinking of slicking it back and hair-spraying it into oblivion, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen.
