Hoyt's city models

I’ve recently been very interested in the Straight Dope’s archives and have been searching under various topics. I came upon a very old question that left out a bit of information in the answer. I figured I’ve got nothing else better to do…soo…
november 5, 1999- “Is the South side always the baddest part of town?” Cecil goes into a very good explaination (like always) but leaves out Homer Hoyt’s 3rd city model: the multiple nuclei model(the other two being the sector and the concentric ring). In the Multiple nuclei model different residential “classes”, commercial zones, and industries are all mixed up together. Now there is some social and economic order to it, but I’m sorry I don’t remember that.
