sailor, just get a new one from tigerdirect.com they are about 100 bucks or less after rebate for a new cd writer. then you can give me the old one.
astro thanks for the info you emailed me, I’ll look into it. As you can see, I waited almost to years since I bought the drive to burn my first CD so this is not like it’s a high priority with me. I have also found that this is not like copying files to a harddrive and I need to know a bit more about formats and the software. The problem with these things is that if you do them very seldomly you forget the basics. It’s like programming the VCR clock.
I am studying the different programs for burning CDs but I am also still recovering from the HD corruption caused by trying to use the CD drive with the old drivers so I have plenty to keep me busy.
