HP laptop question - reminders

I have a new HP laptop, and the reminder message keeps popping up to attempt to harass me into buying an extended service plan. It has three options. “Yes, I’d like to waste my money on that” “No, thank you” and “I already bought one”. No matter which of these I click, this damn message pops up again and again, every 5-10 minutes. How do I get rid of it?

You did stut it off and then restart it after answering the question right?

I would suggest you use this link and ask one of the HP people how to stop it, and make sure they know you don’t like it happening in the first place.

Tried restart, didn’t work.

Do you know how to use msconfig to see what all startup programs are running?

If not, go to support.microsoft.com and do a little research on that. Then, very carefully, turn off (one by one, restarting between each) anything that looks like it might be the offending nagware. Stop when you find the right one.

First thing you should have done was reformatt when you bought it. But go to start => run, type in msconfig and hit enter. then do a google search for each thing you see and see what it does. you can disable most of them without effect. i would even disable your sound/video software one as there is no reasons to have it. drivers load up anyway

You already would have had your answer if you’ld used the HP support site.
