HR Dopers, help please. E-mailing resumes; Attachment or in body?

You have a point. I always assume there’s an idiot HR person involved, though.

Thanks for the advise, all. I’ve started sending out my resume as “cover letter, then resume,” in the body of the e-mail.
My last company’s founder/CEO was a millionaire self made man who couldn’t figure out custom ring-tones on his high-dollar cell-phone. I guess my mistake has been giving people the benefit of the doubt, intelligence wise.
