Huh, so I can permenantly delete books from my Kindle library?

I had no idea that I could get rid of a book forever, versus just archiving it. So, goodbye 4-Hour Body, you obnoxious turd of a book!

For months I have been seeing that partly read waste of time taking up space within my Kindle archives, always reminding me of the time I stupidly took the advice of a podcast and bought that damn rag of a book.

Never more shall my eyes come across that stupid title amongst all the greats that reside in my Kindle archives.

Be gone for good, and never darken the hallowed halls that are my Kindle archives!

Well, I feel much better now.

Is there a way to “return” a book bought for a Kindle?

Is there a way to “trade” or “Swap” a book bought for a Kindle?

I don’t think you can trade or sell a Kindle book, which kind of sucks.

Are you not going to tell us how? I always wondered why they have an archive when I told it to get rid of it. I mean really, what’s the point.

You sign into your account at Amazon, then go to Manage Digital Content (?). It’ll list all the books with an option to permanently delete.

Just sliding this over to Cafe Society (from MPSIMS).

I wonder if you have a change of heart would recovering it be as simple a redownloading it or would you have to buy it again?

I imagine when it’s gone, it’s gone.

If Apple, the Ice Queen of the computing world, will let you redownload apps you’ve previously paid for, I’d think Amazon would.

But I don’t have a Kindle.

I guess it depends on whether we are buying a file or the right to download a file.

Actually, I guess I was wrong: under “Permanently remove an item from Your Kindle Library and Archived Items” (link), it says:

(bolding mine)

You can return any Kindle book bought from Amazon within 7 days of purchase by clicking on “Contact Us” on the Kindle help page and just sending them a message that you want to return it.
