I frequently suddenly think, “damn, I need to shift” only to realize when I reach for the stick that I’m already in fifith. No memory of shifting into fourth *or *fifth.
I’ve been known to stop at a STOP SIGN waiting for the light to change.
It sometimes takes a while for my brain to catch on that stop signs don’t have lights! :smack:
