A couple of weeks ago the Wall Street Journal ran a story in which a bank wrongly locked up a woman’s house and repossessed her parrot while she was away. The online version doesn’t have the print headline, though: “I Wish to Register a Complaint.” There was also a large photo of the woman and her parrot that made reference to her “prolonged squawk” with the bank.
I, for one, welcome our new “media not taking themselves seriously” overlords.
