The news story I saw about that (WashPost?) had a surveillance camera shot of the car he was presumed to be driving, good enough to see something was sitting on the dashboard.
Yeah, I’ve seen the image from the camera in the local news (since it’s fairly local to us). It’s not a great shot, there is no front license plate, and when the car drove off there wasn’t a clear picture of the rear plate.
It wasn’t clear enough to see what was on the dashboard either.
