I used to work over by the Navy base in Bremerton, Wa., and there were a lot of sailors who came in and told tales of the Phillipines and how they called the prostitutes either bar girls or LBFMs (little brown fucking machines).
I was wondering if there is some sort of equivalent term for Hungarian prostitutes. If so, could you spell it out phonetically, please?
My grandmama likes to say “kurva” as the be all end all to girls of ill repute. Pronounced coor-vah. However, that’s a pejorative you’d use on women you don’t especially like, and judging by the context I’m guessing you need something softer.
Just had a rather awkward discussion of the subject with my mum, lol. She suggested I say “oot-sah lahn-yuh,” (utca lany) with the “yuh” going very quickly. That literally translates as a “street girl.”
I worked in a casino with a Hungarian girl named Aniko and she was absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and also the raunchiest, bawdiest woman I’ve ever met with an incredible sense of humor. Also, there were a lot of former LBFMs that came into the casino and they were raunchy and bawdy, also. One day it dawned on me that Aniko and the Phillipinas sounded like they came from the same bolt of cloth. I realized that Aniko had probably been a bar girl in Hungary. It is a very common way for that many foreign women are reduced to using as a way of survival and gaining entrance to this country.
No harm, no foul, though. I admire Aniko because she’s a strong person who was doing what she had to for her families survival. Also, she works her ass off and pesters me for overtime.
