I have never really noticed him before, but I have to concur with several posters in that thread that his snark is actually pretty clever, and funny.
Ranking posts, ranking posters and their participation based on how popular they are would be pretty much the end of this site, IMO. What makes these message boards better than others is the quality of moderation and the fact that we as a community can have it out with each other, and there’s even go out into the parking lot called ‘the pit’ if we feel the need, but we tolerate each other, even if we vehemently disagree with or don’t necessarily like each other’s online personas.
The question was asked where are bricker and adaher, and I think they stopped participating because some of the attacks (on bricker especially) were too personal. Bricker struck me as generally sincere and not a thread shitter or troll. But he got treated like one.
It wouldn’t be the end of the site, it would just end up being a purge of a couple of the main threads. Which is gonna happen anyway, it’s just going to take longer.
