I have a Husqvarna hedge trimmer; the exhaust is clogged up, and there’s no way of taking it apart to clean it. I’m trying to find a website where I can buy a new muffler.
Instead of paying out money for a new muffler, maybe you can just flush yours out.
Hold your trimmer so the exhaust is pointing vertical, and pour a quantity of gasoline into the muffler until it is full, and let it soak for 10-15 minutes.
Then pour out the dirty gas (it WILL be dirty) and give the muffler a few hours to evaporate and dry out, lest staring the trimmer creates a backfire.
Doesn’t seem like a particularly hard thing to find (although a model number would be nice.)
Try this.
(No endorsement of the this website is implied – I haven’t used them before; they just came up in quick web search.)
