I have just recently applied for a job with a oil company here in australia. On the job advertisement it said that a brief understanding of ‘hydrocarbon production or processing operations’ would be benificial. If you people could tell me a little it might help me to get the job.
viten, that’s a B-I-G subject (hydrocarbon production or processing operations). Can you perhaps be a little more specific about the job for which you’re applying?
I am in hydrocarbon exploration and I did work downstream, as a reactor operator in a chemical plant; perhaps I have something to offer you, but we need to circle in a bit.
all it says in the add is ‘An understanding of hydrocarbon production or processing operations would be an advantage’ so i dunno. I spoke to a mate who said that it is the proccess the oil goes through once it is pumped out of the ground. so i have no idea in other words. So n e info would be great… it doesn’t matter how much info cos i will read it all.
Thanks.
