Who wins?
Hypno toad probably overrides a brain slug thats attached to a person looking at the hypno toad. A brain slug is likely to be able to control the hypno toad if it managed to attach itself to it though.
Do brain slugs have the advantage of being blind? If not - Hypno-Toad!
Hypno-Toad is a doper, but who’s Brain Slug? 
I don’t remember – are brain slugs mobile or do need subjects to place them atop new victims?
I say Hypno-Toad wins by a lot.
I don’t think brain slugs have ever been shown in places other than being held by people or on people’s heads. Then again, I don’t know if the Hypnotoad is mobile either- he’s only been shown in a stationary position. Either way, seeing as the Hypnotoad can do his thing without being attached to anyone, all glory to the Hypnotoad!
Both are mind-controlling critters from Futurama.

Are we discussing toads & slugs trying to control each other, or merely some hapless victim?
Makes a big difference.
Type 1 conflict
Toad controls at a distance, so the slug loses.
Type 2 conflict
Slug wins, via direct infection & neurological control.
Then they are totally owned. Besides, the Hypno-Toad has that cool, zen hum . . . and his own TV show.
Regarding type 2, the Slugs may have more control over their victims, but they seem to be more easily defeated. One had starved to death while trying to infect Fry, while another one was successfully knocked off of Hermes head with out much effort. I doubt Hypno-Toad could be defeated so easily. I would say at best that it’s a draw between the two. That said, I have not yet seen the 4th DVD movie, so my information may be outdated.

What would happen if one tried a Perseus-style reflecting shield trick on hypnotoad?
