Hypothetical about etnicities

The etnicities that exist in the world today can sometimes look quite different from eachother, but otherwise the differences are quite minimal. We have quite a lot of racism in the world, but also a big cultural change away from racism.

But what if the difference between the etnicities was a lot more pronounced, how would the world look today? What would the discussions look like? Would we have the same kind of anti-racist movement, or would it take on another form?

I don’t see how making the differences between the races more pronounced would make anything better. Would a black people with an extra set of nipples be discriminated against more than they are today? It would just add to the existing lines of racism towards them IMHO.

Humans don”t need race to be intolerant. Class, creed, nationality, even our favorite sports team are reason enough to irrationally hate our fellow human beings.

Memo to OP: It’s “etHnicities”.

For example…?

Ethnicity ≠ race. Are you talking about the thousands upon thousands of different ethnicities, or the handful of races as seen in the check boxes on American forms?

I can’t see how it could be anything but make racism much, much worse. If ethnicity had drastic differences in appearance, discrimination would be extreme.

It’s not difficult to come up with a reason to hate another group. Just ask Jane Elliott
