You and a few dozen other people, some of whom you know, have been captured by some tin-pot dictator or crony thereof. He’s sadistic, egotistical, etc. (Standard tin-pot conditions apply.) He summons you and says that he’ll release you on one condition–you have to let one of the other captives see you naked for 5 minutes. The good news is that you get to choose who it is.
The group of captives includes at least one in each of the following categories: a relative (cousin, aunt, etc.); a good friend; a coworker; and a causal acquaintance. Plus several people that you don’t know.
Who would you choose to see you naked?
Personally, I think I would go with a stranger. If I choose a friend or coworker, I think that the memory would quite possibly cast a cloud over our relationship. Same with a relative. But a stranger I would probably never see again.
I’m not adverse to any of these people seeing me naked on this scenario. My first thought was “stranger,” but strangers are more of an unknown. I pick “friend.” I like my friends, and I trust them. They could handle seeing me naked without it being uncomfortable in the future.
friend or a stranger probably. For the poll I’ll say stranger, I’m not shy. For relative, would depend on which one. I shared a bedroom with my brother and 2 of my cousins so it’s not like we’ve never seen each other naked before.
I am not by any measure an exhibitionist, but I think I’d probably wouldn’t care who it was to be honest as any prudish reservations I have at the prospect of being seen naked by someone for a trifling amount of time, is massively outweighed by my aversion to being under captivity of a sadist.
I think I’d be so happy at being released I’d invite everyone along.
I think you need an “I don’t care/all of the above” option.
Like some others, I’m not an exhibitionist but I really don’t think I’d give a damn who sees me in my birthday suit in those circumstances. I think most people have been naked in front of plenty of strangers as well as at least some of their friends - ever gone to a gym or a swimming pool?
Are people really this body conscious? I’m in dressing rooms all the time with my friends, coworkers and/or relatives and they see most, if not all of me. I can’t see how it would make much of a difference. I picked friend just because I know none of my friends would care.
The stranger, out of sensitivity for the modesty or propriety of the person who has to look at me. The stranger will be relieved to know that he/she will never again have to face me or encounter me in any way.
I wear clothes mostly because it’s the polite thing to do. Since most people have hang ups about it, I’d pick the stranger, for their sake.
And, if the dictator wants to turn this into some sick sexual game (after all, who really trusts crazy dictators to let you go after five minutes?), I’d much rather go through that with a stranger than someone I know.
There needs to be another option for if you really don’t care. Maybe I wouldn’t choose coworker, but friends, relatives, acquaintances and strangers have seen me naked plenty of times.
