I made it through mandatory high school gym showers and nude swimming. But my 68-year-old body is quite different than it was back then. I wouldn’t impose it on anyone who didn’t choose to see it.

I live in Japan. I am regularly naked at the public baths and hot springs with friends, coworkers/bosses, acquaintances, and strangers. If my family lived here I’m sure I’d be taking baths with them, too.
The only time I have ever really been uncomfortable at the baths was when I used to be a teacher and students would see me and then gossip about it.
