I would love to be able to put some aspect of this vacation in the Pit, but everything went very well. It helped that we sprang for first class tickets, of course, but it all went so unnaturally smoothly. All the planes left and arrived on time (well, except for a slight hitch when we rerouted through St. Louis on the way to New Orleans), I got upgraded on my rental car to a Chrysler 300, Jazz Fest was mostly dry and entertaining, my kids and grandkids are all healthy, and we got upgraded on our room at the B&B in Wisconsin to a beautiful suite overlooking the St. Croix River. And the new grandson smiled at me. Too cool.
Good to hear someone’s went well. I got so tired of the kids bickering on our last trip that I cancelled this year’s vacation. I’ll take 'em on short (3-5) day trips, but no more multi-week journeys. (Maybe I should wise up like you and NOT take the RV next time) :smack:
IIRC, you’re in the RV biz, right?
Used to be. For about 3 months. In 2005. I probably should have stayed there, since it was a low-stress job, but you know the siren song of a steady paycheck.
