I tasted, but never swallowed
Paste-eater, checking in.
I eschewed paste, markers and other intoxicants of the day in school, believe it or not.
I have, however, met (online) someone who puts nail polish remover in pill capsules and swallows it. Apparently, it contains an analogue of GHB and gets you really high. No thanks, amigo.
I went straight for oven cleaner as a kid. I’m glad Mum saw me sampling it
Our pet used to eat paste, but then he was a putty-cat
That’s too hilarious. I used to sneak bread or rolls out of the cafeteria during lunch and keep them in my desk so I could eat them later.
I remember eating paste, too. We rarely had the paste in a jar though, and that was the good stuff. Mostly we just used glue sticks which weren’t nearly as tasty. I also liked to eat the dry macaroni that we used for projects.
If kids weren’t meant to eat paste, it wouldn’t smell so yummy. That’s my philosophy.
I’ve been trying to figure out what in the world are all of you talking about. What the heck is paste? I thought “paste” is an adjective like “a pasty substance” or “this goo is a paste.”
I asked my wife about it, she said it was something old people used in school to glue paper together.
We just used Elmer’s.
No, I didn’t eat that either.
 That is very dangerous. I had a friend in highschool who drank a bottle of the (non-Acetone) kind because it said “alcohol” on the bottle and she just assumed it was the same as grain alcohol. She spent a good few days in the hospital after getting her stomach pumped and lined with charcoal.
