I am both ashamed and proud of myself.

I accomplished something last night so incredibly huge, but so incredibly geek, that I really have no idea how to feel about it.

I beat Fable (for XBox) in one, straight sitting. It took nine hours and fifteen minutes (just the core quests and few little side runs for romance). What’s even more sad is that I had absolutely no intention of doing this, nor even completing or saving the character when I started. I had just read that having gay partners in the game were much more uptight about things than having hetro-relationships, and thus produced some pretty humorous things. They did make me laugh (especially when my male “wife” said during sex “I didn’t think that was possible.”), but then I didn’t stop. I kept on going. “Just one more quest,” I said. And I said it again. And again. Then, suddenly, there were no more quests.

While it makes me sad that I found myself so unable to put down the controller, I do feel a bit of pride, as I doubt there are that many people (for good reason) who can claim to have done this. Still, though, it led to me getting absolutely no sleep or any rest last night, which made driving into work (where I am now) an adventure, and kind of makes me scared to drive home. Hopefully I’ll be able to sneak in a nap before that time comes.

Anyway, yay me (kind of).

Thumb soak?

No, my thumbs are in thankfully good condition. I do have a huge blister on my pinky that hurts like hell, though. I think that’s from bowling, though.
