There has never been a day in my life when I didn’t have a roof to sleep under, clothes on my back, enough to eat and drink, access to education and knowledge, freedom, peace and someone I could call a ‘friend’. That already makes me luckier than 99% of all people in history.
I always wanted to work for myself from home and make money. Now I do.
Despite the fact that I am no-one’s idea of what women want, I’ve been privileged enough to have some great relationships with some truly exceptional women.
I know what it’s like to love and be loved.
I’m not the world’s smartest or most talented guy, but I’ve always had enough grey matter to get by somehow.
I saw Frank Sinatra sing live, and it was wonderful.
I’ve made love by candlelight with someone who made me feel it was the best sex anyone had ever had in the whole world.
All during my growing up years, I was never taught any prejudice or bias, and it’s easier for me to accept everyone on their own merits than it is for some people.
I taught myself to play the guitar and its’ fun and I’m sorta okay at it.
I’ve met some great people, whose kindness and generosity blew me away.
I’m healthy, more so than I really deseve to be.
I can do fantastic card tricks and stuff like that. It can be very geeky, but if the circumstances are right… I can bring magic into people’s lives.
I got the reading bug young, and I’ve read some of the world’s finest literature.
I can listen to Bach any time I want.
I’ve seen Michaelangelo’s David.
I’ve been up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, and sat on a rock in the forest at the top with a special and very beautiful woman who wanted to kiss me and set the camera on timer to record the kiss.
I’ve had dinner at the Hotel Bel Air, in LA. It doesn’t get any better than that.
I’m not a saint, but my conscience is good and I sleep easy 'cos I do play fair and never cross anyone.
I know how to laugh and enjoy myself.
I can spend time on the SDMB and hang out with all these strange and weird and sometimes wonderful people.
I am lucky because…
My fathers experimental cancer treatment seems to be working
My mothers cancer isn’t progressing
I have a roof to live under (for free even!)
I have a job that works around my college schedule
My mouth doesn’t hurt yet from getting my wisdom teeth pulled
well, shit! just look at me! a slob like me, and i got it made!

My neighbor’s newspaper nicely covers the holes in the side of my trailer.
I have never been eaten by jackals.
Running form the law has kept me in reasonable shape.
I have yet to be offered a breath mint from a total stranger.
There is a woman at home who somehow thinks I’m funny, and good-lookin’ and is waiting for me to get home already.
