I am Majoring in Athletic Training in College.

I recently began classes this semester that correspond with my new major: Athleric Training. I just wanted some input on job oppurtunities, and what would be some higher paying postitions that a degree in this field could get me. I suppose my ulitmate goal would be to be a trainer on a major college’s athletic team, professional athletic team, or a professional trainer. What would the level of difficulty be to obtain a high profile job like I mentioned in the previous sentence?

I don’t know, but that’s what Bill Cosby majored in. Maybe you could be a comic.

I already thought of that option, and I dont find myself as the funny type.

Fries with that?

You’re asking the wrong people. Find 3 athletic trainers willing to sit down with you and do an informational interview, focusing of what qualifications the ideal candidate would need to land a similar spot. If it’s a sports team trainer, see if there’s some way you might intern. Think internship. Though you won’t get paid, an internship is really a deferred compensation program. If these 3 say no, find another 3–and another. Go the extra mile. Act and look professional. Be willing to do the grunge work.

I don’t know if it’s your thing, but maybe you could be a trainer/manager at a health club? I only say that because the one that I belong to seems to be a pleasant place from the member’s perspective. They seek degreed people so I imagine you’d qualify.

Turner-

Thank!!!
