While we are toasting, let’s raise a glass to my dumb luck. As my realtor was putting the FOR SALE sign in the front yard of my house, a guy walked up and got a flyer from her. His realtor showed him the place that night and he made an offer in the morning. This was despite the old pink (yes I said pink) carpeting, various needed repairs and general neglect of the landscaping.
So here’s to home ownership as well as home sales. Cheers BMalion.

When I looked at this one, I was in every room a dozen times, crawling all over the place. Then I sat down on the living room floor, the realtor said “You’re going to buy this place, whenever a guy sits down on the floor I know he’ll buy it.”
She was right.

Signed the papers today, I get the keys on Wednesday!
For reasons beyond my ken, I saw the thread title as I am now a lawnmower!. Either I’m getting dyslexic, or you’ve got a leg up on that yardwork.
Oh, and congratulations by the way. I’m in an apartment, myself, but tentatively thinking of housing. So expensive though! (And I hate yardwork.)
Congratulations BMalion! I hope to be the one getting the keys at the end of June. It’s been a long time too - so much so that I (hopefully) will be getting an attached house in an adult community, hehe. But first, the anxiety and the sleepless nights (argh).

I was thinking about you while I was mowing my backyard last night, wondering if you were going to mow YOUR yard while wearing the famous UtiliKilt, and wondering if I could watch if you did! If you need a new keychain for your new keys, I know where you can get a great deal, you homeowner, you! You must be just giddy! I’m just waiting on my new computer, and I’m giddy about that, so I can only imagine your level of joy. Congratulations!

Got the keys Wednesday.
Took Thursday and Friday off to move my crap, didn’t even rent a truck, just made multiple trips with my van. Spent most of Saturday and Sunday putting stuff away.
Sat in my living room and just drank it in.
Picking up a lawn mower today after work.
