I am re-al Ho-mer! I am re-al Ho-mer!

How Homer Simpson might look in the flesh. Quite striking.

Mario from the same guy.

Gaaaaaah…Homer is terrifying.

Mario looks pretty awesome, though.

For OG sake do the rest of the cast!

Thanks for the nightmares!

I agree with the comments that he ought to do Professor Farnsworth next.

What do we want?
FRY’S NEPHEW!
When do we want it?
FRY’S NEPHEW!

I always pictured him looking like this.

Well, I have to say, those still look quite cartooney to me… three-dimensional cartoons, in a way, but still falling short of ‘lifelike’. But that’s just me.

Another take on the real Homer, and the rest of the family, from Time Out New York. Also includes other Springfieldians. This is from an issue that came out right before the movie, and I found it very cromulent.

Why do half of the characters have rictus?

Ha! There are some distracting anime-ish details (Krusty looks like the Joker, Apu is wearing pounds of eyeshadow, a few of the cheeks are strange), but I still like that picture. Homer, Flanders, Burns and Smithers are very well done. And you know, in that style, Bart and Lisa’s hair actually makes sense.

Awww, real life Lenny and Carl are so cute.

The link in the OP is so weird. It’s still basically a cartoon, just in 3D with realistic skin. I’d like to see a version of Homer that looks more like a real human being.

I always thought the closest person to a real life Homer is Bruce Willis.

I see what you did there.

Two realistic pictures of the cast of South Park.

Heh, you wanna see scary, I’ll raise you a Calvin and Hobbes.

Also, check out Futurama.

Wow, that is really, really good. I’d love to have a print of that.

Abe Simpson is hilarious–he’s even got a story that keeps going and going…

Yeah. There was almost nothing realistic about that.

This is great. Where’s it from?

I really like how Patty and Selma look nothing like their animated selves, yet are instantly recognizable.
