That looks like a trailer for a fun movie I would enjoy watching.
Turned out, per the Superbowl, it was all an Australian tourism ad campaign.

Sometimes being conned can be fun. I bought into the campaign hook, line and sinker.
I admit I was fully prepared to go see it this summer and yeah, kinda disappointed to know that I won’t.
I too, was looking forward to seeing a Danny McBride / Chris Hemsworth buddy movie.
They put more effort into that fake trailer than into some real ones.
So was I. I thought the idea was kinda stupid at first, but after seeing a trailer or two thought it was going to be pretty funny.
I’m still annoyed I can’t watch Howlin’ For You. I’ve always been a big fan of Sir Todd Bridges.
I found the commercial to be extremely effective. I saw it during the Super Bowl and an hour later I was on a flight to Australia.
Okay, so I was watching the Super Bowl in an airport bar waiting for my flight to Australia, but still. I did enjoy it.
When I first saw the name Dundee, I thought they were remaking the movie, then I watched the trailer and did like it. Then I read the comments and saw it was a tourism commercial for the Super Bowl, I was disappointed that it was not going to be a real movie.
I would so go see it, too. It could be so much fun.
Paul Hogan knew he was getting too old for that schtick in the last movie, he’s now pushing 80. Any new movie would have to star a 30-something as Mick, Jr.
ETA: now that I’ve watched the thing: their son is Michael Junior, not Brian.
You saw his 2-second cameo in the commercial, right? For some reason I don’t think it’s in the trailer the OP linked to, but it’s in this one, at 1:16.
I want to see that and the nacho fries movie.
You got me.
I was sad too. Why world, why? Throw me a frickin’ bone here.
Jim Jefferies tried to get him to play his father in Legit. I don’t know why he didn’t. I would have liked to have seen that. George Lazenby played the part.
This trailer, OTOH, appears legit!
I’m in.
