Even greater irony is that Cowell’s acts and RATM are both on the same record label.

I bet you that more copies of the X Factor single were sold than there would have been without the RATM campaign, though, as his fans may have bought more copies to try and beat RATM. It’s not like anyone who would have bought Joe’s single bought RATM instead.
