Military Wives beats X Factor to #1 (UK)

For the second time in recent years, the Xmas #1 single has not been the X Factor winner’s single (for those unaware - the Xmas #1 single is a big deal in the UK, and much speculation goes on in the run-up to Christmas as to who will get it).

This year, Military Wives (watch the official video here on YouTube - then go buy it: proceeds go to worthy causes and the UK government is waiving VAT for it!) got the #1 spot with Wherever You Are, outselling the rest of the rest of the Top Ten combined.
I think it’s actually getting released in the US today or tomorrow, though I don’t imagine it’ll get so much traction there.
