Now that I’m working for a law firm I get basically every holiday you can imagine off, plus a few you probably can’t.
Today being Good Friday, I’m being paid to sit on my keister.
I woke up at 10:30 with the vague recollection of a dream about YouTube, and remembered a paper I have to submit to a state Representative on Monday. Then, thinking about government, I rembered the the BBC’s political satire “Yes, Minister” from my youth and realized with a cry of joy that YouTube somehow has copyrighted stuff coming out the wazzoo.
So I looked, and there it was!
I’m halfway through episode six of “Yes, Prime Minister” (a spin-off that retained virtually all the original characters), with a look of vacant bliss still plastered on my face.
Seriously, it’s the best thing that’s happened to me all year.
I will say, in the fullness of time, when all possible things are considered, having consulted with all involved, that in fact, perhaps, we might be able to discuss at some future date what, in fact may be an idea before it’s time…
It’s Yes, Minister and then Yes, Prime Minister, in that order. Brilliant stuff!
“Sí, Señor Ministro” (I think it was actually both series, one after the other) was on Spanish TV in recent years; I missed it completely but have had rave reviews from everybody who’s watched it. And I haven’t found any place where I could rent it.
