yeah, so as the title of the thread mentions, i bought a gun today, and i plan to use it.
it’s a .177 cal (4.5mm) airgun.
and i plan to use it for shooting darts at pizza boxes in the backyard. and also to fire the occasional pellet at the damned raccoons that seem to think my garbage is their fastfood, and at the damned squirrels that think my tulips are there for snacking purposes.
but mostly for shooting at pizza boxes, just because drinking & firing at things you can’t really hurt is fun.
Just wanna say… if you wanna blow away racoons and squirrels… you oughtta use enough damn firepower to put them out of their misery! Otherwise you’re the same as a child who pulls the wings off of flies… SADIST!
hey, i don’t wanna kill the (sumbitches) poor animals, i just wanna make it clear to them they aren’t welcome in my yard, trashing my …well, trash, and eating my flowers.
i know, i grew up with guns (real ones, that fired real ammo,) in the house, and a father who taught me gun safety & hunting skills from an early age.
i mentioned the “drinking & firing” in only a stereotypical dig at gun nuts, & anti-gun nuts both. (it’s mpsims, i thought i was allowed, and humblest appologies if not.)
…besides, it’s only a pellet – ow, ouch, ouch, my eye!!! gun.
sorry.
honest, i know how to use & be responsible for this & much more than this little fire(air)power that i now currently own.
Only a pellet to YOU! To a tiny squirrel, it’s life-threatening! You SAY you know how to be resonsible and shit… your post shows you DO NOT know…
oh come on now. the pellets i have are the rounded kind, not the pointy ones. i’ve been hit by these kind of pellets before, and they never even broke my skin.
besides, when i shoot at the squirrels – and raccoons, don’t forget, i’ll be aiming to hit their tails, or just above. i want these critters to live - to be scared as fuck, but to live, and to go & tell their buddies that if they try my yard, there’s a chance they may be shot at.
one month, and i’ll have the lowest critter count on the block, guaranteed. and without killing a single one, if all goes to plan. i’ve seen & done it before, but this time, it’s my own (air)gun instead of watching & borrowing.
