I call bullshit on John McCain's purely political "suspension" tactic.

Actually, even the guy who had the brain hemorrhage has a better voting record than McCain. McCain has missed more votes than any other Senator, period.

You know, I thought this entire thing by McCain was a publicity stunt. I still believe that and I’m losing what little respect I held for the Senator from years gone by.

That said, I sincerely really truly hope that the agreement reached by the bailout was because all sides agreed that it was a good idea to do this and it’s a well put together piece of legislation. Because if the Democrats rushed through this and gave away $700 billion dollars to score a cheap political trick of their own…I will be sorely disappointed.

I’m not sure Obama deserves much credit for this, he’d have had to be pretty damn stupid to fall for it in the first place. Have we set the bar so low that “not stupid” is a real credit to a man?

Yes.

Yes we have.

Congrats on waking up from that coma you fell into back in 2000. Hope you enjoy 2008.

And if this argument was put forward by a candidate who goes well out of his way to keep himself involved in the Senatorial voting process it might have some weight. However, he doesn’t, so this is exactly what it looks like.

Where can I get one? That’s even better than the Sore/Loserman buttons from 2000!

Yeah, he’s “articulate”: a credit to his group (i.e. Presidential candidates :))

  1. Work for deregulation for 24 years to create a financial crisis.
  2. Sit around doing nothing about it until the market crashes.
  3. Ride to the rescue.

I see. Honorable and correct.

Maybe this will give him an excuse for losing the debate tomorrow. He was so busy running around telling everyone how he was going to rescue the country that he couldn’t study.

It’s like Batman swinging down to catch the bad guys, only to discover that the cops have them in cuffs already.

Fixed your post.

Please don’t alter text in quote tags. Thanks.

Ironically, last night I saw a McCain ad on the TV for the first time in the entire campaign.

Even putting aside the “suspension,” one has to wonder what the McCain campaign’s up to by buying ad time in Utah and Western New York. Talk about throwing good money after bad.

McCain Campaign Still Active Across The Country

Sorry.

I love how the McCainiacs can’t really even describe how it is that McCain is going to help.

“He’s doing his job”!

what a joke

If it makes ya feel any better, that’s how I read the original quote.

So, is McCain showing his yellow ass at the debate or not?

for five and a half years, he … nah, can’t do it.

Perhaps McCain explained what “suspending the campaign” means in one of the three network television interviews he gave today.
