I called a 'help center' and actually was helped!

Sehr cool!

I doubt they are out much money, as I’m sure they had the package insured with FedEx. I’ve read other comments online about their customer service and it sounds like this was not at all unusual. One person not only ended up with a new $1200 espresso machine because of the long delay for parts for his old one, but he also got the old one back from the local repair place once it was fixed.

Of course, we didn’t get the answer as to whether they fixed it or not. I suggest we keep Riemann on retainer in the event he gets his super-duper espresso machine and has a similar scenario unfold.

We have that same toaster oven, and use it almost every day. Absolutely worth the high price. I’m glad to know if it ever breaks they’ll replace it for half price.

Any way you slice it, the OP got good service!

But really, that’s what we expect, since it’s our dough.

You got a rise outta me!

It’s the yeast I can do. ::flees

I have a KitchenAid food processor. We broke the bowl assembly and I went to all the parts replacement places and entered my model number and couldn’t find anybody selling. Figuring it was no longer supported, I called the direct KitchenAid line. The lady who was helping me confirmed that the part was no longer available but said, let me check for you. She found the correct part on Amazon and sent me the link. So I wouldn’t have to buy a new one. That’s pretty good help.

I bought a cheap 42" smart TV from Walmart. After about nine months, the Netflix app wouldn’t work. I called customer support. Voice guided me through some stuff for twenty minutes, no dice. She said they’d send out a repair guy. A few days later, guy shows up, disassembles the TV, replaces the motherboard and leaves, no charge.

Home TV repair under warranty- who’d a thunk it still existed?

^ Holy socks, you hit the trifecta!

TV repair? C’est WHAT?
HOME TV repair? G’wan!
Home TV repair UNDER WARRANTY? I just might cry!

Fan-freakin-tastic!

Wait, you have STDs in your A? You should get that checked out.

More like 30% of the price, and it includes shipping costs (although you still have to pay for the packing at you local FedEx). In my case the $75 wasn’t charged, since no repair was done.

We bought a Nexus 5 (16GB) from Google and signed up for their Google Fi service. A few months (way out of warranty) later the phone gets an update and will not boot. Called the Google Fi customer service. Actually, you don’t need to call them, they call you within minutes of logging a ticket on their online system. Five minutes a new phone was dispatched (no charge) that arrived the next morning. This was a brand new 32 GB one. The only catch was you had to ship your old phone back to them otherwise they would charge the full price of a new phone.
