It’s (probably) not broken, just informal.

(As Bill Bryson suggested, in full the name should be “Quick - get a bucket.”)

Hindi: Mujhe go maans aur paneer ko roti ke undher dalke milega?
Lit.: “Can I have cow meat and cheese inside bread please?”
I can’t think of any word for “sandwich”! Especially not hamburger!
My Indian friend from Delhi offers the Hindi vernacular:
Mere pass hai cheezburger?
OK, that’s funny. I emailed her back to thank her for the translation with the words “Thank you little lady.” and she replied:
But that is saying “I has a cheezburger”? Not “I can has cheezburger?” For that you need:
Mujhe cheezburger milega?
And no, there is no word for lady. If you really wanted to show respect, you could say Memsaab or Madamji.
